3CX phone system is available as an on-premise solution (with server located in your offices) or hosted in the cloud.

As well as the Free PBX edition, which has limited functionality, 3CX phone system is available in three commercial editions Standard , Pro or Enterprise, depending on whether you need an additional license key for backup and certain advanced call centre features. Licensing is based on the number of simultaneous calls you make.

What you get when buying 3CX

Without going into detail about the operational benefits and rich feature set of 3CX phone system – when purchasing 3CX, you’re paying for the software license.

Therefore, you’ll need additional hardware such as a server (either physical or virtualised) phones and any other associated hardware, phone lines and connectivity – dependent on your choice of underlying infrastructure.

3CX works with most IP phones and SIP trunks, and with VoIP gateways can be connected to the standard PSTN as well.

  • 3CX WebMeeting provides video conferencing and is integrated free of charge for up to 5 participants with PBX Free Edition, 10 for 3CX Standard and 25 for 3CX Pro / Enterprise Editions. This can be upgraded for up to 100 participants.
